Acrylic jewellery is extremely versatile, ranging from Ikon picture plugs, multi-coloured tapers, UV pieces and glow-in-the-dark pieces.

Although it is cheap to buy, acrylic is no less durable or hygienic than other materials. It is easy on your wallet and on your piercing; comfortable to wear and biocompatible, acrylic is perfect for healed piercings.

However, due to the fact that acrylic is not heat resistant, it cannot be autoclaved. This means that this type of jewellery is not suitable for fresh piercings.
